THEY'RE HERE!
Tomato Season has officially arrived! These are both hybrids "Fourth of July". Yes, that's an herb vinegar, too... details tomorrow, but right now I have a date with a glass of Homebrewed Ale and sliced tomatoes with a little salt... ummmmm!
I couldn't wait... I ate one just now out in the garden to pay homage to the Tomato Gods.
Okay now that I had my fix I can rationally think about what to do with the other one... it's small, but it's a tomato nonetheless!
Oooooh, I hate you! No, I really don't, but I'm jealous ;-)
ReplyDeletehey gran I'm going back in and adding a pic to this... it took me about 2 seconds to consume it!
ReplyDeleteBet I could beat you by at least a second.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am SOOOOO jealous. Mine are tiny and green- but they're there!
ReplyDeleteHerb vinegar? Do tell....

ReplyDeleteWarm from the sun garden tomatoes are the best!
ReplyDeleteI had my first ripe tomato today, also!!! Wasn't the type it should have been, but it was good. It was a long time in coming, that's for sure. Congratulations on your first borns of the summer.
ReplyDeleteGeez....I'm jealous :)
ReplyDeleteOh yum. That first taste of that first tomato just can't be beat!
ReplyDeleteLooks great. Know you enjoyed that first bite.
ReplyDeleteThat does look delicious! The homebrew looks grea too! I'd love to know how to make my own beer... We've had tomatoes for awhile too, but most of mine are getting eaten in the garden. I have a basketful on the kitchen counter, but I'm not sure what to do with them! pathetic, huh?
ReplyDeleteOh,yay!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on your first tomatoes...that was quick! I picked my first tomato yesterday...a solitary sungold. I was delish!
ReplyDeleteWent to the farmers market and got the fresh bread and cheese added in my tomatoes and basil d-lish!!! Gotta love summer.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! My grape tomato is just starting to make little green fruit - it'll be a while yet before they're edible.
ReplyDeleteSounds like we all are enjoying or are just days away from fresh 'maters!
