  1. Keep paddling . . . and drinking. You'll make it. I've never seen a batch of peas or a buttonhole you couldn't conquer!

  2. You could always string the peas into a grass skirt for the boys' Hawaiian Day!

  3. Yup. A whole bottle should do the trick.

  4. Raising my glass and tipping *rather tapping* a bit on the keyboard to send to you.

Your peas are great. I never got enough for a handful.

  5. Ok, gals, thanks for the confidence! Just put the kiddos to bed, have the sewing machine going in front of a horror movie on tv, getting a glass of wine and I'm starting the sleeves.... right.... NOW!

  6. That's a lot of peas. Good thing they taste so good!

Hope the sleeves are going well. It's mostly a matter of matching up all those little arrows (the "outies" and the "innies") that you've marked on the pieces, but they can be a little fiddly, even when well-marked.

  7. I REALLY wish that you were my next door neighbor so that you can teach me how to sew!

    I am pea-green with envy!

  8. You can sew it! Those peas look delicious. I'm ready for some fresh produce but it will be weeks and weeks before anything we've planted will be ready to harvest.
Good luck with the sewing. Shirts are one of the most difficult to make.

Beautiful. OMG. I guess I should let them into the kitchen instead of stuffing my face in the garden.

  11. Hey -I know what will help you sew better- a little wine [ I don't personally imbibe[for personal reasons][ but that might do the trick] Also I will send you Nicks jeans I bought him for Christmas and still haven't got hemmed up and to poor to bring them in for alterations $13.00 a pair. Who are they hemming for" Princess Kate" I should invest in a good sewing machine, the last 2 where such bargains I couldn't pass up at garage sales but ,I never got them to work----well you know what they say" one born every minute"

  13. Look at all those peas - I'm a tad bid jealous. Mainly because I don't have any in our garden... :-( Since nobody (but me) likes peas, I didn't think I should plant any. Might give them a try next year...
You can do the sleeves! You made an entire quilt, so I'm totally confident, that you'll be able to make the shirts for the boys.
