Sorry, no photos... hubby took my camera! You will have to wait to virtually snoop through my new medicine chest :)
A military spouse's take on blooming where you are planted. I continue to pretend I am living on my dream farm while in reality, I live on a military base, gardening in a plot alongside a Navy flightline, with half of my homesteading supplies perpetually packed in boxes and have a habit of being overly involved in every community we live in. I'm a busy mom to 2 boys and a spouse to a Navy sailor soon nearing retirement. I love this chaotic life wouldn't trade it for anything!

DONE!
Hubby finished the bathroom by 3 pm right on schedule, he rocks! (All except the molding, but I will let that slide until Monday!) He left to go hike the Appalachian Trail (brrrr!) at 3 pm. They will get up there at about 10 pm and have an hour hike in to their camp for the night. Yah, what a way to relax, huh? Go hiking in February in the snow... gotta admit that if I wasn't at home with the kids I would be there with him, but for now, my pack hangs lonely on the wall (at least I sent him with a flask of Laphroig scotch to keep warm)! But that's okay, I have a new bathroom and I'm putting the kids to bed and grabbing a glass of wine and giving the dogs a pedi-pedi, then giving myself a mani/pedi!

Congratulations on you both! Terrific.
ReplyDeleteYou two are Olympians. I give you both the gold!
ReplyDeleteYay for new bathrooms and mani-pedis! Of course, if it were me, I'd be in the kids' bathroom soaking in a hot bathtub.
ReplyDeleteHurray for new bathrooms! I'm so impressed. Our upstairs bath has been in a semi-finished state for 6 months! Of course, we also ripped out the drywall and ceiling. It's on my short list of things to get done, though.
ReplyDeleteJudy
Gran, I still sneak into the kids' deep tub once in awhile, but I'm a shower girl! Judy, we ripped out the drywall too, and subflooring was a rotten mess. That's why the cabinets and plumbing were easy in comparison. I hate drywall, and sanding it. When we removed old walls and erected new ones a couple of years ago to change the layout of the house, we had bare drywall up for a year, we were dreading the sanding and texture gun so badly, LOL... Divorce Dust, I say!
ReplyDeleteTease!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say that I'm an adventure seeker like your hubby but unfortunately, my idea of some R&R is a beach and a drink. haha.
ReplyDeleteI can't to see your bathroom. Maybe it will give me some inspiration to do some remodeling of my own.
