Surprised by Jimmy Nardello in the garden this morning!

  1. Hunh. I'm beginning to think it IS August in your garden!

  2. I'm planting tomatoes just as my direct-sown peas are starting to think about producing. It just doesn't seem right!

  3. Weird. Just plain weird. (The peppers, not you. Well, you too.)

Oh, how I wish we had honeysuckle bushes! I'm going to have to plant some this year. There MUST be some wild in the woods here because once in a while I'll get a big whiff of it, but haven't found the bush yet!

  4. This is, indeed, a very strange season so far. Peppers before beans? Never!

  5. Wow! Your peppers are competing with you beans. I'm rooting for the beans cause I'm not fond of hot peppers.

  6. I can't believe you have peppers already.. What kind of "magic dust" have you been using when you planted your seeds? ;-)

  9. Wow... I have to keep reminding myself you are a long way from the Oregon coast, since the only thing I have growing outside so far (other than my artichokes and rhubarb) is kale.

  10. It's too hot. Here, there, all over.

    The Nardellos sound worth trying.

  13. I think we will all have to file this year under "weirdest weather ever." Congrats, though, on the early peppers. Mine have begun flowering, and I thought that was strange enough, but to already have peppers ... Wow!
