A military spouse's take on blooming where you are planted. I continue to pretend I am living on my dream farm while in reality, I live on a military base, gardening in a plot alongside a Navy flightline, with half of my homesteading supplies perpetually packed in boxes and have a habit of being overly involved in every community we live in. I'm a busy mom to 2 boys and a spouse to a Navy sailor soon nearing retirement. I love this chaotic life wouldn't trade it for anything!

Are you kidding me?????
Surprised by Jimmy Nardello in the garden this morning!
Peppers before beans this year? I'll be shaking my head for awhile on this one!
Weird. Just plain weird. (The peppers, not you. Well, you too.)
Oh, how I wish we had honeysuckle bushes! I'm going to have to plant some this year. There MUST be some wild in the woods here because once in a while I'll get a big whiff of it, but haven't found the bush yet!
Wow... I have to keep reminding myself you are a long way from the Oregon coast, since the only thing I have growing outside so far (other than my artichokes and rhubarb) is kale.
Just think how many gardens you can do this year ,especially on my fixed income of $12 for the rate of $10 lol WHEN ARE COMING HOME TO REASONABLE TEMPS LIKE 70BELOW WINDCHILL'S ( OEWWW ,THAT EVEN GAVE ME A CHILL---HAHA)
I think we will all have to file this year under "weirdest weather ever." Congrats, though, on the early peppers. Mine have begun flowering, and I thought that was strange enough, but to already have peppers ... Wow!
Hunh. I'm beginning to think it IS August in your garden!
ReplyDeleteNature is confused this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm planting tomatoes just as my direct-sown peas are starting to think about producing. It just doesn't seem right!

This is, indeed, a very strange season so far. Peppers before beans? Never!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your peppers are competing with you beans. I'm rooting for the beans cause I'm not fond of hot peppers.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you have peppers already.. What kind of "magic dust" have you been using when you planted your seeds? ;-)
ReplyDeleteDear Garden of Erin
ReplyDeleteWhat's next---mums?
:D
I'm in love with the Nardellos! Can't wait to start picking mine.

ReplyDeleteIt's too hot. Here, there, all over.
ReplyDeleteThe Nardellos sound worth trying.
