21 pounds picked...
...all processed into various forms, with 1/2 gallon of fruit puree I haven't decided what to do with. Kitchen has been cleaned, hubby is making dinner and I'm going to collapse on the couch in a strawberry coma. Details to come later.
Take note, it's not often I am this speechless :)
Mmm... strawberries! But 21 lbs is a LOT of strawberries all at once. Get some rest!

Holy smokes, that's a lot of strawberries...
ReplyDeleteIt must have been one busy day to make you speechless! I'm just down right jealous!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a lot of berries!
ReplyDeleteMy, that's a lot of strawberries. Are you going to be even able to LOOK at them tomorrow???
ReplyDeleteErin-I've been eating strawberry "sauce" all winter---applesauce consistency, just strawberries. I freeze it in 1/2 cut containers---it's as fresh and delicious as the day I picked them.
ReplyDeleteYours looks so fantastic. What a crop!
Ya, but how many lbs did you eat?
ReplyDeleteI may just have to go out and buy some pesticide laden imported strawberries just to calm my craving!
To process that many in one day (after picking them!) . . . well, I guess you were just your usual OCD, crazy, wild, whirlwind, over-achieving self that puts all the rest of us to shame! ;o) When you get in bed tonight and close your eyes, you're gonna see strawberries! Eager to see what all you made with them.
ReplyDeleteOh my that was a lot of work. Now sit back and eat some of those strawberries with a bowl of ice cream or your favorite dessert.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, its going to be like when you've been fishing all day and you go to bed and still see bobbers. You're going to see nothing but strawberries in your sleep tonight! I'm sure you don't want to hear this, but I'm jealous. Strawberries aren't anywhere near being seen here!
ReplyDeleteThat is a whole lotta strawberries!
DeleteI am shocked to see it is strawberry season for you- dang- we are still getting frosts up here. Good work Erin, anything with strawberries is delicious!
ReplyDeleteHoly moly! That's a lot of strawberries! I can't wait for strawberry season. It has to be one of my favorite seasons! I just ran out of strawberry jam and the last bag of frozen berries is coming out this week. Hopefully, are season is early too.
ReplyDeleteFrom here, the strawberry coma doesn't sound so bad. There is definitely some work still ahead, but it will be great to have all those beautiful berries heading into your freezer/fridge/jars!
ReplyDeletewow ,fantastic,"strawberry fields forever" I did 8 pounds of blanching and freezing fresh green beans yesterday and I don't have a garden
