Things only a mother could love...

If you don't have an ample supply of painkiller, you may want to look away now. Hope at least the grandparents & daddy can enjoy this...

  2. That is so wonderful - his concentration is amazing! It takes a while to get the hang of string instruments. And a goodly supply of ear protection.... Thanks for the video - it is delightful!

  3. haha, Susan & Apple Pie Gal, you both are seeing the beauty of it - I unfortunately am seeing an empty Excedrin bottle.... just kidding, they are pretty amazing little guys, but funny how I am enduring the first months of learning and then daddy can waltz in here after they have figured it out a bit LOL

  4. That's so cute. I remember when I first started learning the clarinet. It wasn't pretty.

  5. OK, you have me crying tears of laughter here. I'm so happy my turn has ended, and you young ones can experience all this "joy". Good job, kids. You're giving Mom some precious memories.

  6. I think they're both doing really, really well! Amazing for 5 and 7 year olds. Truly. (At least they both were practicing at the same time which should have shortened the headache period for you, huh?)

  7. Yup Erin, your kids have talent. Do they get that from mom? dad? both?

My kids both play several instruments, but it all came from their dad. I am a true dud in the music area.
No pain killers needed....keep up the great work boys!

  9. Lorie, I guess it would be me, since nobody in hubby's side plays anything I don't think! My brothers and I all play several instruments but my dad is the source of any talent passed down, he's been in a Blues band for about 45 years now learned to play by ear way way back! I wish we didn't live 1200 miles away, I know my dad would love "jamming" with their little "blank slate" minds LOL

  10. Thomas, make sure you have lots of pots and pans to for him to bang on! Finn really wanted to play guitar but his music teacher recommended piano at first since his hands are still small and it gives him a good base for other instruments - he was still doubtful so I bought him some Elton John sunglasses and showed him a rockin music video of him and now he's cool with the piano - for now LOL
