Happy Halloween!

I'm back!  I have been lost without a computer for all this time, but I'm back in the blogosphere now and can't wait to "see" you all again!  Lots of catching up for me to do, but these pics will have to do until I have time for a proper post, so Happy Halloween y'all!

This week's big event was Finn losing one of his front teeth, no more perfect little boy teeth - he's officially moving into that "awkward stage" :)

We did the "Trunk or Treat" thing this year, here's the Subaru all decked out...

All you 80's moms can appreciate the kids' costumes this year LOL...

Next up, I hear I need to post a pic of an apron pattern, so I'll get to that tomorrow, don't count me out yet - I'm planning on participating in Susan's challenge!  Hope you all have a great Halloween.

  4. It's great to have you back! Love the trunk decor and the boys costumes are fantastic!
I've got my 13 year old daughter going out tonight and my 15 year old son staying home. I'm making him hand out candy. My excuse was I'm too old to be jumping up and down to answer the door. LOL!

  7. Hey Erin! Great to see you! :) I haven't posted a pattern pic yet either, though I am planning to have my first ever pattern following project, an apron, completed on time. I hope...

  8. OMG-you even deck out the car? You're too good!

Poor Finn-I remember that stage. What DOES a tooth fairy shell out nowadays?

  9. I'm so glad you're back! I missed you and your posts and can't wait to see your apron pattern.
Love the boys costumes! Our friends dressed up as ghost-busters last year, with their little one as the marshmallow man. ;-)

  10. Thanks, everyone - it's great to be back! I've been missing my morning doses of "adult conversation"! I never realized that without my daily blogging it seems that the only dialogue I have is with little people!

Mama Pea & Sue, I didn't think that up at all, I'm new to "Trunk or Treat" this year as well. It's where a place like a school, church or some other organization puts together a safer alternative to having kids run wild and gets parents to participate too. Everyone decorates their trunks and parks in a parking lot and the kids go from car to car seeing the decorations and getting candy. It was really nice and kind of a throwback to where all the parents are together as well, a little like the nonexistent block party nowdays. Bonus, at churches and such you know everyone so there's more real homemade goodies to be had!

And to the rest of you, HA! No creative apron here, you give me way too much credit LOL. After this computer purchase and with Christmas coming, I'm just a poor girl who will use whatever pattern and fabric I have on hand, maybe the kids' old jammies LOL...

  11. Sue, Finn told me the other day that a kid in his class got $20 for his tooth, I almost choked! Finn got a buck, one stinkin' buck... hey it's more than I got as a kid and isn't that all we are trying to do as parents, step it up a notch every generation LOL?!

  12. Yay! You're back! Boy, oh, boy, did I miss you (along with everyone else). I loved the Ghostbusters - and I love that trunk! I think I got a quarter for a tooth. But, $20??? It's sad.

  13. Erin-you aren't the only one that choked. Cripes. I'm glad I don't have young ones. I was thinking a dollar was right. Geez.
Of course, all the LITTLE kids I'm seeing with cell phones now also jibes me. My gosh.....am I THAT outta whack?????

  14. Sue, I know! I think I only got a dime LOL! And I can barely pay for the 2 ADULT cell phones we have, I sure hope the kids don't think they will get one at their ages :)
