Reveling in the quiet!

Miss Angela reappeared like an angel this morning!  She looks as excited to see them as I am to send them off!

Here's the whole gang this morning, my driveway is the bus stop so the noise level climbs early in the morning around here. (Loch is missing since he left a little earlier on the "short bus" to the Math & Science Academy LOL)

Every year I forget how great this day is, bye Finn!

Now what?  I'm completely surprised at my lack of plans today, but maybe that's a good thing to take the first day and just revel in the peace and quiet...

  1. I know what you mean! All the kids are at school and DH is still sleeping - I haven't had things this quiet for three weeks! I'm about to make a lot of noise, though - I have a ring order I need to finish and send off today.

By all means - revel in the quiet!

  2. Ha! You, m'dear, reveling in the quiet probably means something like redecorating the whole house or spending eight hours sweating in the garden or . . . if you get out your sewing machine and make a king size quilt (complete with hand quilting) in a day it wouldn't surprise me!

    Do whatever you want. That's the important thing! I'm sure both boys will have tales to tell after this exciting first day. Hope you make YOURS memorable, too. :o}

  3. I'm still waiting for mine to go to school. Only 25 more minutes and off they both go to High School. It's only a half day of school for them to day but tomorrow they will be there all day and I have no plans either.

  5. I'm enjoying a day at home alone also. Lyndsey left with dad for her sophomore year (driving her car) and last year at this time, my MIL was here. So, I'm planning on lots of things I've been procrastinating on, but first I'll procrastinate a bit!

  6. Oh my gosh, the silence must be deafening! I wonder if I could send the dogs/cats off to day camp....Hooray! I am SURE you will find things to fill your day. ;o)

  8. Gee-I imagine you had to really strain to think of how to get through the day without the little angels.
    :D
    Enjoy the day, Erin!!!

  9. So, what did you do with your quiet day? Did you enjoy it and do the things you wanted to do, or did you work and do the things that needed done? Either way, I hope it was a good day.

  12. Oh joy for you!! Is that bad? ;) I bet you almost didn't know what to do (or not do) first! After a crazy busy this weekend, when I had my morning cup of coffee, it hit me that no one was talking to me...

It was so nice! Hope you had an awesome day and that the kids enjoyed their new classes! (short bus...funny girl!!)

  15. Hmmmm, bonbons and a good juicy book? Manicure and pedicure? Like everyone else, I image you've accomplished something mighty and gargantuan with this day that's fallen into your lap. I hope you enjoyed it some. You deserve it.

  16. I hope your day was great!
I was driving to an early AM birth this morning (I occasionally work as a doula.), and it was fun seeing all the kids looking excited to go back to school.

  17. I apologize for being bad about replying to everyone, it's been a stressful week here - although you wouldn't know it from yesterday. I spent a good couple of hours on the computer going through my photo library organizing it and by the time I started to plan what I should really do with my day the kids were back home LOL! They had a great day, though!
