We arrived back in town from vacation this morning. Returned with 2 kids, 2 dogs, 1 husband and a partridge in a pear tree all intact! We decided to drive straight through, which we will never do again, I might add! 26 hours, 15 minutes each way, and logged a total of 3,542 miles on the beloved Subaru. No way I'm going to manage a real post until I get unpacked and laundry done - speaking of which, hubby is already tearing apart my washing machine as I type - I hope it's "fixable"! I have so many of your posts to catch up on, I feel like I missed so much! I'm sure some of you have seen some vacation photos of us on Mama Pea's blog, A Homegrown Journal... guess I better start there, LOL!
In the meantime, enjoy this photo of one gloriously dirty Subaru, maybe the company should use this one as marketing!
Glad you made it home safe and sound. Looks like you guys had a blast.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
You are so sweet to let us know you're back in one piece. Myself? I would have made a beeline to my nice warm bed and wouldn't have poked my nose out for a week! It was fun to vicariously enjoy your vacation!
ReplyDeleteYeah!! So glad you had a blast with your family and MamaPea and hers! We were able to get our "Erin Fix" thru her and ChickenMama at least!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing about it all from you now too!
How awesome that the hubby is digging right in!
Glad you guys made it back safe and sound. I hope your holidays were great and filled with lots of love and laughter. I can't believe you drove straight through! It takes us about 11 hours to go visit family and that's about all any of us can take in the car. You're a lot braver than we are!
ReplyDeleteYay! You are home - best of luck with all things laundry. :)
ReplyDeleteOmigosh, now I see why you got home so early today! (At least you saved the cost of a motel room last night!) But what a marathon drive to make it home in one shot.
ReplyDeleteI'm missing the chatter and laughter of the boys. Everything was made so much more fun because of their joy for life. You and hubby can be very proud of how you're raising them. Very well-behaved kiddlies. (You two big people handled yourselves very well also!) ;o)
Take deep breaths, relax, get some sleep, get back into your routine . . . and enjoy having hubby back home!
P.S. How's hubby doing with the pink duct tape?
Glad to hear you all made it home safe and sound. Loved reading and seeing picture of you fun with Mama Pea and family.
ReplyDeleteThat's one dirty car!
Welcome home. Now, breathe....
ReplyDeleteJudy
Bless your heart, that is a long ride! Wow! Welcome home!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you made it, but 26 hours straight!? That's crazy!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading MamaPea's posts and seeing what you all were up to!
Hey Lady.....Welcome Home!! I was thinking what Kelly said about the laundry!
ReplyDeleteOh, my...26 hours? We do our 1200 in two days, and that 800 miles on day two just about does me in. So happy you're back, and let's hope my internet connection stays on long enough to read all about your vacation! I missed you.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and welcome home. Look liked you were having a grand time at Mama Peas. Vacations are wonderful, but it is nice to get back home and back to normal (what ever that is), but the laundry is the pits. Hope hubby get's the washer fixed.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Erin!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, and happy new year! I always feel better after a trip is all done (and unpacked!)
