wait for it, wait for it...

I can guarantee we'll be the only ones in the crowd of over 10,000 people with one of these!

No standard welcome home sign for me, they get lost in the crowd and they guys can't make out what's written on them anyways - the name of the game is for him to actually be able to spot us!  Whaddaya think?  Minnesota, here we come, just as soon as we grab him!

  1. Well, I for one am not going to make it through this homecoming in one piece. Your lumberjack flannel Minnesota sign just reduced me to a blubbering idiot.

  8. Hi Inkycrab! One reason is that we come to see the ship pull in - it's an amazing sight with all the sailors manning the rails in their dress uniforms, you don't want to miss that, unfortunately it takes a long time after that to tie up, also post 9/11 security on a military base that is opening to a crowd of 10,000 isn't pretty :)

  9. Ah. I was a Navy wife also but my dh was a Seabee so no ships for him. I have seen the carriers come in on tv and it is an amazing site to see the sailors all lined up. I never thought about homecoming in bad weather. Your man will be quite cold too! Have a great homecoming, trip, and Christmas!!
