Just out walkin' the garden this morning... dewpoint was 79 at 8 am!
No garden work today since it is "bread day" and I am having a big Harvest Swap party Saturday I need to get ready for, just photos!

Cosmos staging attack
I only planted these once last year.... can you say INVASIVE?!
They have almost completely obscured my Colonnade apple tree!
Wow! Things look great. I see those two squash bugs doing the nasty in your cucumber picture. Those things still freak me out when I find them.
ReplyDeleteYour garden pictures sure look great for all the horrible heat you've had!
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks great! I can't believe it looks that good with the weather you have had.
ReplyDeleteSo, I see you are adding a little bug porn to your blog :)
We have cosmos too, although I didn't know it was called that until you told me. I keep ripping it out as fast as it grows but the neighbours let it grow in their garden right next to ours so it's a losing battle.
ReplyDeletekudos for the flower and butterfly photos.! :) cosmos huh? I have a pack but I have not planted my seeds yet. Sounds like they are more than easy to grow...
ReplyDeleteAnd where to get the hops - I read that they usually produced the cones after 3 years so this seems like the kind to try?? Dont know much about hops so i need to get with it!
Apples looking good.
What awesome pics! Heat or not, looks great!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful veggies, and flowers, too! JG heirloom? Priceless!
ReplyDeleteWow, I love the zinnia you have growing with the cukes and beans! Awesome idea! I've never heard of a Colonnade apple tree before. Is it a miniature tree?
ReplyDeleteI love the flowers in with everything-I do it too! Gosh, your heat just goes on and on-UGH!
ReplyDeleteStay cool!
Wow, that apple tree is really coming along Erin!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics Erin! I really need to grow more flowers next year.
ReplyDeleteErin, wonderful vegetables, zinnias and butterflies. We finally have eggplant and cucumbers coming on, but our tomatoes are a thorn in my side. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. So wonderful that you are still getting cucumbers! Even if my plants were still alive, the cucumber pickle-worms have arrived, so any cukes would be messed up.
