If anything sticks on the roads, we are all doomed. There are no machines to clear the roads, no salt spreaders, just crazy Southern drivers determined to keep on driving! Glad you are going someplace that is PREPARED for snow.Amy W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14108368551894382300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5855162440022875977.post-47583416831088449182010-12-12T20:16:39.803-05:002010-12-12T20:16:39.803-05:00Oh boy, I haven't seen that much snow since we...Oh boy, I haven't seen that much snow since we had a storm on Valentine's Day in 2007. And I remember people digging their cars out like that too. Except, they plowed the roads, so cars were buried! And in Syracuse, you have to move your car to the other side of the road at 6pm, so people were frantically trying to dig them out!

That collapse is crazy! Our dome at Syracuse University is the same construction and they do all kinds of stuff during the winter to keep that from happening. And they've even offered the Metrodome the materials they need to fix their roof. Although, I don't see that getting fixed any time soon!Kayteehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05189214625961799579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5855162440022875977.post-86981066473157902132010-12-12T19:48:23.625-05:002010-12-12T19:48:23.625-05:00Oh My Macaroons! Minnesotans must have been singing "White Christmas" a wee bit too loudly for Mother Nature :)

My brother said whenever a car would get unstuck and stomp on the pedal to get out the neighbors were applauding, and snowmobiles out on the city streets, guess the police have more important things to do than try to keep Minnesotans off their snow machines in the city limits LOL.

Last I heard was that we (the Vikings) may be playing in Detroit tomorrow night? I heard anywhere from 16-18 inches at my mom and dad's to 20-22" up in the Twin Cities where my brother is at, apparently pretty hard to measure because of the wind and drifting.

APG, I was thinking the same thing, this seemed to be a standard winter back in the 70's for us, but anymore, I can't promise my kids that they will be able to sled at Grandma's... not a problem this year I guess!

Can't lie, I am getting EXCITED for our trip! My parents will just hand us shovels and say "good thing you were so excited to get here, now go get our car out!"Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06916896512933101955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5855162440022875977.post-86972381662706619642010-12-12T17:08:11.556-05:002010-12-12T17:08:11.556-05:00No way!
